Moore County man airlifted after falling out of moving truck, being impaled by metal rack

A Moore County man was airlifted to a trauma center Saturday afternoon after falling out of the back of a stationed moving truck and becoming impaled through his back by a metal rack, according to the Aberdeen Times.

A Moore County man was airlifted to a trauma center Saturday afternoon after falling out of the back of a parked moving truck and becoming impaled through his back by a metal rack, according to the Aberdeen Times.

Emergency responders with Moore County EMS and Southern Pines Fire & Rescue arrived around 1:30 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Loden Drive.

Firefighters were able to cut the metal rack and secure the piece of metal that was left in the man before transporting him to the Moore County Airport to meet a helicopter.

He was then flown to a trauma center for treatment.

The man's condition is unknown.
