Masked Singer: Our guesses on who's behind the mask

Is someone telling Jenny McCarthy the answers?! It just seems a little suspect that she is starting to guess the correct answers now after a first season of mostly being clueless and several weeks of ridiculous guesses.

This week, McCarthy and several other panel members guessed correctly but they seemed to still be in the dark about a few other contestants.

Let's get to the recap:

Butterfly vs. Fox

The Butterfly boxed her way through Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry," while the Fox slowed things down with “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton. (Mark my words: The Fox, Rottweiler and Thingamajig will be the final three!) The Fox won the audience vote sending Butterfly to the smackdown round.

Thingamajig vs. Tree

Thingamajig continued his flirtation with Nicole Scherzinger during his performance of “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Bublé. It wasn't his best performance. It looked a lot like a Willie Wonka fever dream with those two oompa loompa looking ladies running around. He was pretending to use a dating app that ended up matching him with Nicole.

The Tree sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. It was fun and had lots of pyrotechnics in the background. Tree defeated Thingamajig to send him to the smackdown round.

Smackdown: Butterfly vs. Thingamajig

Butterfly brought the rock with Imagine Dragons' "Believer" but she was defeated by Thingamajig and his rendition of Usher's "Caught Up."

Who was behind the mask?

As most of the panel guessed (and us too!), it was Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, who just happens to be performing in Raleigh this week in Snow White's Christmas.

What we learned about the contestants tonight:

The Fox

Clues: This week, we saw the words "Yes and" during his clue video. That is part of improv comedy -- the first thing you learn is to always respond with "yes and..." when someone else starts a bit. He told the panel that he is "friends with them."

We have seen clues involving superheroes. He mentioned at one point being in a group with a bunch of other guys.

Our guess: Wayne Brady. He has done voiceover work for some animated superhero shows and the group of guys he is referencing were his "Whose Line is it Anyway?" improv crew.

Thingamajig

Clues: This week, he mentioned marrying himself. He talked about being a second pick and having a recent setback.

Previously, he brought along an American Sign Language Dictionary as his item clue for this episode. "Don't call me Chewbacca, though we do celebrate together" (quote from the preview show). Judges kept saying how tall he looked. In his rap in the first episode, he said he's more than fashion shoots and dreams before pulling a sneaker out of his "magic case." He also had a cupcake with a "4" candle on it. He said "all the stars led to this gig." This week, he mentioned that his parents said to "not run with the bulls." He also told the judges the hardest time in his life was having to go to "rehab," which could be a reference to being injured.

Our guesses: The prevailing guess on the internet is that it is NBA player Victor Oladipo. His sister is deaf so that fits in with the sign language clue, plus he has had injuries sending him to rehab.

Tree

Clues: This week, we saw a embroidered sign with the words "What is a friend?" She also mentioned "Smelly Cat."

She has mentioned being her family's favorite elf. She said that her family never made her feel like she was left home alone and then we saw a photo of the White House.

The Tree previously mentioned her "delicious" performances and this week she added a reference to fruit cake in there. She has a very 1950s vibe. Said she spent time in exile. Mentioned you only know her for one thing. She talked about dishing out more talents to make the world smile, then we saw some pots and pans.

Our guesses: Although we've previously guessed Amy Sedaris, we have to agree with Jenny that the Tree does sound a lot like Ana Gasteyer from "SNL." Gasteyer used to impersonate Martha Stewart, which accounts for the cooking references.

Next week The Masked Singer airs on Tuesday and Wednesday!
