Armed robbery in busy Durham parking lot in broad daylight

Two men shot another man during an armed robbery Saturday in Durham.

According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, the robbery happened at a convenience store on the 1700 block of South Miami Boulevard.

According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, a man was walking through the parking lot of a convenience store on the block when two Black males wearing ski masks and armed with guns approached him.

The two suspects demanded the man’s jewelry and wallet. They then fired a single shot, grazing him on the leg, and removed his jewelry, wallet and phone.

The two men drove off in a white four-door Ford F-150 with a 30-day temporary registration tag.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. The suspects are not in custody.
