Man in wheelchair dies after getting hit by car in Rocky Mount

A man in a wheelchair was killed late Thursday when he was hit by a vehicle in Rocky Mount, police said.

The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. at the intersection of West Raleigh Boulevard and Williford Street.

The name of the 59-year-old man killed hasn't been released, and police provided no other information about the incident, which remains under investigation.
