Man charged with stealing Christmas gifts from Vass home

A Moore County man is charged with stealing Christmas gifts from someone's home.

On Thursday the Moore County Sheriff’s Office responded to a break-in and robbery at a home in the Woodlake community near Vass. During the break-in, several items intended as Christmas gifts were stolen.

Deputies found a vehicle that matched the suspect's description a short distance away.

Aaron Shayne Oxendine, 23, of Vass, was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to heed light or siren.

Oxendine was being held in the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
