Man charged with murder of younger brother in Raleigh

A Raleigh man is charged with the murder of his younger brother.

On April 17, officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to an assault at a home on St. Augustine Avenue. Officers found Ryan Verderber, 38, injured at the home. He was transported to the hospital and released.

Two days later, Ryan Verderber was found unresponsive at again at the same home and transported to the hospital. He died Monday, two days after the second incident.

Justin Verderber, 43, his older brother, was taken into custody and charged with murder.

This is an ongoing investigation.
