Macy's at Crabtree Valley Mall resumed its regular operating hours Monday morning after a fire broke out inside the department store Friday evening, a store spokesperson said.

The fire originated inside a fitting room on the second floor of the department store at 5:37 p.m. Friday, according to mall officials. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Lt. Jeff Warren of the Raleigh Fire Department characterized the fire as "incendiary," meaning that it was intentional, according to the incident report.

Authorities determined that the fire was extinguished by the store's sprinkler system and fire was under control three minutes after the alarm sounded. The incident report said 25 percent of the building was damaged by the fire.

Macy's is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
