Look up: National Guard helicopters fly over Triangle for training exercises Sunday

If you see extra helicopters flying over the Triangle on Sunday, it's because the North Carolina National Guard is planning to conduct training exercises.

Between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., pending weather conditions, National Guard helicopters could be seen overheard in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.

"Expect to see an increased presence of helicopters during this time." wrote the 449th Combat Aviation Brigade on social media in a National Guard Training Advisory post.

The 449th Combat Aviation Brigade is located in Morrisville.
