Raleigh attorney Roger Smith Sr. dies at 81, memorial service set for next week
Longtime Raleigh attorney Roger Smith Sr. died Tuesday. He was 81.
The local defense attorney was involved in many high-profile cases. Smith also represented former Agriculture Commissioner Meg Scott Phipps.
Smith died earlier this week after a long illness.
Smith retired in 2017. A memorial service is set for March 7 at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh.
