Local group plans drive-in movie night at N.C. State Fairgrounds
A local group is planning a drive-in movie night at the N.C. State Fairgrounds on July 30.
My Brother's Keeper Wake County will be offering a screening of "Incredibles 2." The event is 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at Gate 11 of the state fairgrounds in Raleigh.
The movie is free to see, but you have to buy a parking pass to enter the fairgrounds. Parking passes are $20 for cars and $25 for SUVs. A food truck rodeo is slated for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that night.
Space is limited. Parking passes must be purchased in advance to reserve your spot. No passes will be sold at the movie. As part of the registration, you'll need to complete a short survey.
According to the website, My Brother’s Keeper is an initiative launched by President Barack Obama in 2014 to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and ensure that all young people can reach their full potential. The local chapter works with organizations and programs as allies of Black, brown and indigenous youth and young adults in Wake County. The group also hosts workshops, trainings, support and more.
