Kidzu Children's Museum has some new offerings for educators who want to bolster their lessons on STEM topics and nature. Activities are designed for preschoolers to middle schoolers.

Options include STEM boxes for rent, which come with a variety of science, technology, engineering and math-related stations-based activities that can be done in the classroom. Themes include Tech for Tots for preschoolers and kindergartners, Forces of Flight for first and third graders, algorithms and problem solving for third to fifth graders and computational thinking for middle schoolers.

It's also offering outdoor discovery boxes for rent with lessons about honeybees or living organisms. among other topics.

And it's providing free virtual learning kits for educators, students and families that can be done entirely at home.

More information is on Kidzu's website. The Chapel Hill museum also will be open for field trips this fall and is offering to send educators to schools for in-school field trips.
