The city of Raleigh's annual Fourth of July fireworks display will be held again this year at Dorothea Dix Park, officials announced Thursday.

The display was moved to Dix Park last year, after previously being held at N.C. State's Carter-Finley Stadium.

Gate will open at 5 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Free event parking will be available at downtown parking decks and N.C. State's Centennial Campus. There will be no parking at Dix Park.

A free shuttle will take guests from the Moore Square to the intersection of Centennial Parkway and Blair Drive - about a five minute walk to the big field at Dix Park. Shuttles will start at 4:30 p.m.
