Burglars target 12 homes in Cary near N.C. 55

The Cary Police Department asked for public assistance on Wednesday for a string of residential break-ins.

According to the police department, the break-ins have occurred since January at various properties throughout the northwest district of Cary along N.C.55 and Davis Drive.

“It’s an invasion,” Vikash Rakecha said.

Rakecha said his home was one of the 12 break-ins reported, saying it happened when he went on Spring Break.

Police believe the suspects targeted homes during the daytime and evening hours when residents are not home.

“I know one or two pieces of jewelry that we keep [and I] noticed one was gone,” Racehka said, adding they entered the home through the back door.

Niveditha Sankaran, another victim, said the burglars took her car and jewelry inside her home.

“Before we get in the driveway, we noticed the car was missing,” she said.

Police provided a photo of the three suspects in the break-ins, seen below.

Cary police say the three people in the photo are connected to a string of break-ins since January.
