Opening day for the North Carolina ski season is almost here.

WRAL News has compiled a list of tentative opening dates set by North Carolina resorts. All are subject to change due to weather conditions (resorts categorized in aphabetical order).

Appalachian Ski Mountain

Opening Date: The resort was planning to open Nov. 17, but the resort announced the weather will be too warm to open by then.

Beech Mountain Resort

Opening Date: Beech Mountain now plans to have its opening day on Dec. 2. The initial plan was to open on Nov. 24.

Other notes: Beech Mountain Brewing Co., at the base of Beech Mountain, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year. The brewing company has several music acts scheduled for the 2023-24 ski season.

Cataloochee Ski Area

Opening Date: Date not yet announced.
