Good news for singles: NC metros top list of 'best dating spots'
Valentine's Day has passed, and if you're still single, don't worry.
According to a recent study, three of North Carolina's largest cities are considered to be the best spots for dating when graded on a variety of factors.
Apartment List compiled a new list for 2018 of the best metros for dating using survey responses from nearly 11,000 singles nationwide. Out of the 70 metros analyzed, Raleigh ranked 5th for dating, while Charlotte ranked 7th and Durham ranked 9th.
Here are the Top 10 metros for dating:

- Charleston, SC
- Denver, CO
- Austin, TX
- Raleigh, NC
- Washington, DC
- Charlotte, NC
- Rochester, NY
- Durham, NC
- Palm Bay, FL
The rankings are flattering for the East Coast, and they also speak highly of the Triangle. The study found that, overall, metros with plenty of young, educated workers and newer tech hubs earn high marks for dating.
The survey also found that men are more satisfied with dating opportunities than women, as 46 percent of men gave positive responses compared to 41 percent of women.
So, if you weren't a fan of Valentine's Day, you might be in the right place after all.
