Blue Ridge Road reopens for traffic after being closed by gas leak

Blue Ridge Road has reopened after a gas leak closed a section on Monday afternoon.

Around noon, Blue Ridge Road was closed between Ed Dr. and Morningside Dr.

Dominion Energy is on the scene. Officials say the gas leak has been contained, and the road is open for traffic once again as of 1:15 p.m.

Crews had been working in the area earlier in the day, which is what caused the gas leak.
