Fundraiser to benefit Kids Together Playground

Registration is open for the seventh annual Walk and Roll for Inclusivity at Cary's Marla Dorrel Park.

The event, planned for Saturday morning, benefits the park's popular Kids Together Playground, a nationally recognized play area for children of all levels of physical and mental ability. 

The 1.4-mile recreational walk and run also features crafts, games, raffles and refreshments. Participation costs $5 per person or $15 per family. Since the park opened in 2000, Kids Together has donated more than $15,000 to the town for playground improvements.

Check the website for more information and to register. Online registration closes Thursday. Walk-up registration will be available starting at 9:30 a.m., Saturday. The event begins at 10 a.m.

The park is at 111 Thurston Dr. in Cary.
