Free entrance to National Parks on Sept. 24

All National Park Service sites that normally charge an entrance fee will offer free admission on the following dates in 2022!

* January 17: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.

* April 16: First day of National Park Week

* August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act

* September 24: National Public Lands Day

* November 11: Veterans Day

In North Carolina, the only National Park that charges a fee is the Wright Brothers National Memorial. I have visited this National Park and it is very interesting. If you go, I highly recommend the free presentation from the park rangers about the Wright Brothers and the history of the memorial.
