Free baby formula to be given out at Wake Tech on Monday

Parents struggling with the nationwide baby formula shortage can get some help on Monday in Wake County.

StarMed Healthcare will give away free cans of baby formula today at the Scott Northern Wake Campus of Wake Technical Community College to combat the nationwide shortage.

Parents and caregivers are eligible to receive one can of baby formula per person at building E atrium, starting at 11 a.m. Registration is not required. The formula will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Also on Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is updating the public on more steps being taken to increase the availability of formula in the U.S. under the agency’s recent increased flexibilities.
