With the end of April comes May, and the day meant for the celebration of a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars Day, more commonly known as "May The Fourth Be With You," is this Thursday and while no one is naming streets Darth Maul Drive or Yoda Drive this year, there will still be some fun activities and events to go to for the annual unofficial holiday.

Here are four things to do on, and around, the fourth.

Prove you're smarter than a protocol droid

If you want to flex that brain and show you're smarter than C-3PO, Make your way to Bull City Cider Works in Durham.

The brewery will be hosting a Star Wars Trivia night where they will quiz you on planets, characters and everything in between.

In addition, Ciderworks will be serving their newest cider, Gooseberry Galaxy, during the event.

This trivia will cover all Star Wars canon content, which encompasses movies and various television shows like Bad Batch, Clone Wars and the Mandalorian.

The event is free and starts at 7 p.m. All you need is a team of six players to test your knowledge and be quick on the draw like Han Solo talking to Greedo (Han shot first btw).

The return of the Empire

The North Carolina Symphony will be playing the score of the second movie in the original trilogy, 'The Empire Strikes Back', this weekend at the Meymandi Concert Hall at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts.

The first of three shows will start Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

If you miss out on May 4, you will still have a chance ot watch the symphony play the John Williams' score on May 5 and May 6.

Tickets are nearly sold out on Ticketmaster, but you may be able to get tickets directly from the box office and avoid paying those online fees.

Alternatively, StubHub is also selling tickets on the resale market.

A popup market that's one with the force

If you don't have enough galactic credits for the symphony, perhaps a popup market is more your style.

The Geek and Grub Market will be hosting a special Star Wars-themed pop up market on May 6.

The event will have numerous games and pop up shops for people to visit and is free to the public.

In a deviation from it's usual 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. run time, the market will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Mordecai Historic Park.

An event for any young Jedi

If you want something the younglings can stay awake for, you can take a starship to Cumberland County for Jedi fun for all ages.

The Cumberland County Public Library will be hosting a Star Wars celebration Thursday afternoon.

The library will have a screening of the seventh installment of Star Wars' Skywalker Saga,The Force Awakens.

In addition, There will be activities such as making mini glow stick lightsabers or building your own paper droids.

The event will run from 4 p.m to 6:30 p.m and all ages welcome.
