Gardner: One more damp day before sunny, drier weather

Expect some fog and light showers Tuesday, according to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner.

Tuesday will be a cloudy day, though some sun may peek through the clouds later in the day.

"Sunshine is coming, but we have to get through today first," Gardner said.

According to Gardner, patchy dense could impact the morning commute, with visibility at one-quarter of a mile or less west of Raleigh. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the person in front of you.

There will also be a chance for light, isolated rain throughout the day, but it won't be nearly as wet as Monday, Gardner said.

The sun will make a real appearance Wednesday, which should be a dry day with highs in the upper 50s. Thursday will also be pleasant, with a high around 60 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

Gardner said Friday will be another nice day, but a chance for heavy rain returns Saturday morning around 9 a.m.

"We'll get through most of Friday dry, but light, patchy rain could move in by the evening commute," Gardner said.
