A firetruck crashed Monday night while en route to a small fire in downtown Raleigh.

The Raleigh Fire Department responded to a fire around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Blount and Martin streets.

The fire was at an apartment building across from Moore Square.

Video from the WRAL Breaking News Tracker shows a firetruck using a ladder to reach the fourth floor of the apartment. People inside the building watched the response, meaning residents were not evacuated.

A spokesperson from the Raleigh Fire Department said around 15 firefighters responded to the small window fire, and other fire engines en route to the scene were canceled.

A few blocks away, a firetruck crashed at the intersection of North Person Street and East Edenton Street, nearly half a mile away from the fire. No one was injured in the crash.

The fire was extinguished in under five minutes.
