Few chickens survive Moore Co. farm fire on Thanksgiving day

Tens of thousands of chickens were killed in a fire on Thanksgiving Day at Watts Auman Farm. The Sandhills Sentinel reported that the fire began around 9:30 p.m. and took about 40 minutes to contain.

Firefighters were able to save only a few of the birds. A second chicken house on the property was untouched.
