The Fayetteville Police Department has charged 22-year-old Andrew Zobel with indecent liberties with a child.

Zobel faces 52 counts of taking indecent liberties with children, stemming from a two-day period in September when he was babysitting a friend's children, police said.

The parent of the children discovered through home security footage that Zobel engaged in multiple acts of self-gratification while the children were in the same room, according to police.

Zobel turned himself in with his attorney and received a $185,000 secured bond.

He has since posted his bond and has been released.

Anyone with information concerning an indecent liberties with a child case is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department’s Youth Services Unit at 910-433-1851 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
