Family's car flips in Selma during trip home from Disney World
Three women on their way home from Disney World were injured early Tuesday morning when their car overturned in Selma.
According to police, the family -- a grandmother, her daughter and her granddaughter -- was driving home to New Jersey from Florida when their car overturned on Crocker Road. Police say the car missed a curve in the road, ran into railroad tracks and ran into a ditch, flipping over.
The family was trapped inside the car until firefighters rescued them, officials said.
The driver (who officials did not identify) was seriously injured when her head hit the windshield, police said. All three victims were taken to WakeMed, but their conditions are unknown.
Officials said alcohol may have been a factor, but no chagres have been announced.
