Monday

The Hangover Trivia Night (Durty Bull Brewing Co., 206 Broadway St. #104, Durham) - Grab your three best friends and head to Durty Bull for trivia on The Hangover movie series.

nOg Run Club (Raleigh Beer Garden, 614 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh) - Runners and walkers leave at 6:15 p.m. for 3, 4, 5, or 6 mile routes, but some choose their own path. After the run, stay and enjoy the $5 runner menu and trivia at 7:15 p.m.

Atomic Rhythm All-Stars Residency (Neptunes, 14 W. Martin St., Raleigh) - Join Neptunes Parlour every Monday in January for this 21+ show.

Tuesday

Astronomy on Tap (Fullstream Brewing, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - This free event features accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe.

N.C. Chinese Lantern Festival (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - This lights show is up through Jan. 12.

Open Mic Night (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - See 20+ of the best local comedians Raleigh has to offer! The show starts at 8 p.m.

Wednesday

The Simon and Garfunkel Story (DPAC, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - The internationally-acclaimed hit theater show starring Andrew Wade and George Clements returns to Durham.

Art Alezakis (Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - As the singer/guitarist/songwriter of Everclear, Art Alexakis penned some of the most popular alt-radio hits of the late '90s.

Stone Cold and The Jackal (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - In addition to their successful podcast, "That's Awesome," Steve and Bradford are touring all over the country to the delight of General Hospital fans everywhere.

Thursday

Cocktails and Conversation (Solas, 419 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh) - Each Thursday, meet people from a variety of backgrounds, discussing their careers, accomplishments, families and more while enjoying drinks, music and good energy.

Friends with Benefits Dinner (St. Roch Oyster Bar, 223 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh) - St. Roch is collaborating with chefs each month for a special menu. On Thursday, the restaurant will feature Chef Matt Kelly of Mateo Bar De Tapas, St. James Seafood and Mothers & Sons.

Yappy Hour (Clouds Brewing, 126 N. West St., Raleigh) - Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to close, Clouds Brewing will serve a a specialty menu for pet owners and their dogs. Proceeds will go toward a different charity each month.

Friday

The Steel Wheels (A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - The Virginia-based acoustic roots music collective performs.

The Planets with the N.C. Symphony (Meymandi Concert Hall, 2 E. South St., Raleigh) - Experience the ultimate trip through the galaxy Friday and Saturday.

Taylor Tomlinson (Raleigh Improv, 1224 Parkside Main St., Cary) - Taylor Tomlinson has been featured on Conan, MTV's Safe Word, Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party and NBC's Last Comic Standing. See her through Sunday.
