Monday

Chicken Wing Eating Contest (Carolina Ale House, 2240 Walnut Street, Cary) - The winner is whoever can eat the most wings in five minutes! Spectators welcome.

2000s Pop Culture Trivia (Crank Arm Brewing, 319 West Davie Street, Raleigh) - Create your angsty teenage away message, gather up your peeps, reorder your top MySpace Top 8 and grab your portal CD player -- trivia starts at 7 p.m.

Art of the Cocktail (Sir Walter Coffee, 145 East Davie Street, Raleigh) - Art of the Cocktail is a monthly class taught by JJ Chambers who has specialized in creatively concocted prohibition style cocktails. Tickets are $35.

Tuesday

Disney Movie Trivia (Pizza La Stella, 219 Fayetteville Street) - Questions will focus on Disney’s classic animated films, from 1937′s Snow White to Coco.

Music Bingo (Woody's, 205 Wolfe Street, Raleigh) - Test your music knowledge and bingo skills. The game is free to play, and a prize is awarded after every round.

Peach Day on Morgan Street (Trophy Brewing, 827 West Morgan Street, Raleigh) - Trophy will have all kinds of delicious peach treats coming out of the kitchen and from behind the bar, including peach beer! Doors open at 4 p.m.

Wednesday

Moore Square Market (200 South Blount Street, Raleigh) - The market runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and features over 20 vendors along with entertainment, educational programming and special events.

Summertime Wine Dinner (Mia Francesca at North Hills, 4100 Main at North Hills Street, Raleigh) - Enjoy five courses paired with wine for $65.

Thursday

Marc Maron (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - For over 30 years, Marc Maron has been writing and performing comedy for print, stage, radio, online and television. See him on stage Thursday through Saturday.

Grateful Dead Meet-Up (Alamo Drafthouse, 2116-D New Bern Ave, Raleigh) - Join Deadheads around the world and celebrate the 9th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies. This global event features the previously unreleased complete June 17, 1991 concert from Giants Stadium.

Midtown Beach Music Series (North Hills, Raleigh) - Band of Oz will perform between 6 and 9 p.m. This show is free.

National Girlfriends Day Trivia (Barley Labs, 4015 University Drive, Durham) - Grab your best girlfriends and celebrate each other. The winning team will get four tickets to one of Durham Distillery's tasting tours and a 4-pack of their brand new Conniption Rose Spritz. Admission is free.

Friday

Alien (NCMA, 2110 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh ) - Enjoy an outdoor screening of this film on its 40th anniversary at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Friday.

First Friday (Downtown Raleigh) - Head downtown the first Friday of every month to celebrate local art and exhibits the area has to offer.

Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - This event runs Friday and Saturday with tickets starting around $30. Admission includes all you can eat sampling.
