There is plenty to check out in the Triangle this week.

Monday

Black Lips (Cat's Cradle, 300 E. Main St., Carrboro) - The garage rock band is from Atlanta. Tickets are $15-17.

Zach Wiley (The Pour House Music Hall, 224 S Blount St, Raleigh) - See the local songwriter starting at 8 p.m.

Smarty Pants Trivia Night (Ponysaurus Brewing, 219 Hood Street, Durham) - This weekly game consists of four rounds of trivia.

Tuesday

Anastasia (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - This dazzling show will transport you from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out on a journey to discover the mystery of her past. Shows run through April 21.

Bulltown Comedy Series (Fullsteam Brewery, 726 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - Every third Tuesday, three comedians from Bulltown Comedy Series take over the Fullsteam stage.

Music Bingo (Woody's City Market, 205 Wolfe St., Raleigh) - Test your music knowledge and bingo skills at this free event.

Wednesday

The Tallest Man on Earth (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - Kristian Matsson is a singer-songwriter from Sweden, who performs under the stage name of The Tallest Man on Earth. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Lil Baby (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - Dominique Jones, known as Lil Baby, is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Atlanta.

Seinfeld Trivia Night (14 W Martin St., Raleigh) - The 8 p.m. game is free.

Thursday

Midtown Beach Music Series (North Hills, Six Forks Road and Lassiter Mill Road, Raleigh) - This well-loved shag music series is back! Liquid Pleasure will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Commons.

The Monti Grandslam (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - Eight storytellers will battle it out for a chance to win this championship event. The storytellers will develop new stories on an entirely new theme, and each will have five minutes to perform their true personal narratives while three sets of audience judges lay down scores.

Special Event: Jay Pharoah (Goodnights, 861 W. Morgan Street, Raleigh) - Pharoah spent six seasons on SNL with iconic turns as President Barack Obama, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Stephen A. Smith and Kanye West. He'll perform at Goodnights for three nights in a row.
