Monday

Jaws (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - See the classic in Durham through Thursday. Showtimes are at 2 and 7 p.m.

Deicide (Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Ave., Durham) - Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987. The band will perform with Origin, Jungle Rot, The Absence, Suppressive Fire and Edge of Humanity.

Southern Cooking: A Short History of the Cuisine of the South (North Carolina Museum of History, 5 East Edenton Street, Raleigh) - Historian John Beck will talk about the original southern cuisine and the challenges it faces by processed, prepackaged foods and chain restaurants. He'll also discuss the work of professionally trained chefs intent on exploring the cuisine’s possibilities.

Tuesday

Cats (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - The beloved musical with breathtaking music will play through June 9.

Bingo in the Garden (Eastcut Sandwich Bar, 3211 Old Chapel Hill Road, Durham) - This free game is held the first Tuesday of every month. Winning cards choose between free wings or brussels sprouts.

Blackfoot Gypsies (Kings, 14 W. Martin St., Raleigh) - The four-piece rock and blues band is from Nashville.

Wednesday

Moore Square Market (200 South Blount Street, Raleigh) - The new farmers market will be held weekly from 4 to 7 p.m. in the historic City Market adjacent to Moore Square. The market features over 20 vendors along with entertainment, educational programming and special events.

Florence and the Machine (Coastal Credit Union Music Park, 3801 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh) - The band brings its High as Hope Tour to Raleigh.

Caffe Marrone (Mel's Commissary & Luncheonette, 109 W. Main Street, Carrboro) - Al's Burger Shack, Mel's Commissary & Catering, and Italian Pizzeria III will be hosting a special five course dinner with wine pairings at the Mel's location in downtown Carrboro. Tickets are $75.

Thursday

Anderson .Paak (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell St., Raleigh) - The Los Angeles, Grammy Award-winning artist will be joined by Noname and Thundercat.

Midtown Beach Music Series (North Hills) - The Attractions will play from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of North Hills' weekly free music series.

After Hours Early Summer (Weaver Street Market, 101 E. Main St., Carrboro) - There will be free music from 6 to 8 p.m. weekly on Thursday nights through June on the lawn. Bring a picnic or chairs.

Throwback Thursday (The Big Easy, 222 Fayetteville St., Raleigh) - If you love music from the 90s and 2000s, Jay-Z, Britney, Biggie, Destiny's Child, and all your other favorite artists, then you don't want to miss this free dance party.

Friday

Family Feud Live (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham) - Celebrity team captains will randomly-select audience members to become a member of their on-stage “family.” You can also win prizes right from your very own seat in the audience. Tickets start at $39.50.

Lake Street Dive + The Wood Brothers (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell Street, Raleigh) - Lake Street Drive & The Wood Brothers will perform at Red Hat Amphitheater Raleigh on Friday.

The Princes Bride (NC Museum of Art, Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh) - Watch The Princess Bride under the stars.
