Monday

Beatles v. Elvis (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - Who was the real King of Rock ‘N Roll? Two of the greatest musical acts of all time face off in a high-octane, adrenaline-pumping musical showdown. This show features tribute band Abbey Road and premier Elvis tribute Scot Bruce.

Disney Movie Trivia (Triple Barrel Tavern, 25 Old Drug Store Road, Garner) - Questions will focus on Disney's classic animated films from 1937′s Snow White to Coco. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Dogust Trivia (Durty Bull Brewing Company, 206 Broadway Street #104, Durham) - This trivia game stars dogs and everything about them!

Tuesday

Views from The Durham (The Durham Hotel, 315 E. Chapel Hill Street) - Lucky stargazers may catch the tail end of the Perseid meteor shower alongside planets and deep sky objects in this guided constellation tour. There will also be cocktails and live music for this family-friendly event.

Beer and Banjos (The Raleigh Times,14 E. Hargett Street, Raleigh) - This weekly music series is focused on traditional and acoustic music from the region of North Carolina and the Appalachian Mountains.

Burly Wine Dinner (buku, 1228 Heritage Links Drive, Wake Forest) - Join Napa Valley's Burly Wine and buku owner Hank McCrorie for a five-course dinner.

Wednesday

Bordeaux in Summer Wine Dinner (Parizade, 2200 W. Main Street, Durham) - Enjoy dinner and five wines hand-picked by a fine art photographer and French wine connoisseur. Tickets are $85.

Cirque du Soleil - Crystal (PNC Arena, 400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh) - This breathtaking show features unbelievable feats paired alongside a storyline. See it through Aug. 19 in Raleigh.

King Django (Local 506, 506 W. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill) - The artist will perform at the intimate venue at 9 p.m.

N.C. Spirit Music and Arts Festival (The Pour House Music Hall, 224 S. Blount Street, Raleigh) - This show features various local artists, including Zensofly.

Thursday

Playboi Carti (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - The Atlanta American rapper, record producer, songwriter and model will perform at 8 p.m.

It's Only A Play (Theatre in the Park, 107 Pullen Road, Raleigh) - It's Only A Play uses the occasion of a disastrous opening night party to pile one wildly funny comic sequence upon another, proving that sometimes the biggest laughs happen offstage. Shows run through Aug. 26.

Midtown Beach Music Series (North Hills) - The Embers ft. Craig Woolard will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. in North Hill's final show of the season.

N.C. Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan Street) - This is the second largest gay, lesbian and transgender film festival in the southeast. Featuring a diverse array of shorts, documentaries and feature films, the festival is intended to bring the community together and features entertaining and sophisticated films from numerous artists.

Friday

Band of Horses (The Ritz, 2820 Industrial Drive, Raleigh) - See the rock band.

Natural Selections (N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 W. Jones Street, Raleigh) - More than 20 local breweries will be at this fifth annual sampling session along with live music by The Hey Brothers, hands-on science-of-beer activities, interactive games and more.

Al Strong's 99 Brass Band (The Bullpen, 359 Blackwell Street, Suite 135, Durham) - The six-piece group will play a free show.

Movies by Moonlight (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Watch "A Wrinkle in Time" under the stars. Tickets are $5, and proceeds benefit the WakeMed Children’s hospital.
