UPDATE: The Durham Police Department has identified the people in the photos of two separate armed robbery investigations.

The two unrelated armed robberies occurred last week.

The first robbery happened at 3 a.m. on Nov. 5. Officers responded to an armed robbery that happened at the victims’ residence in the 2500 block of Vesson Street.

A man and woman were returning home from work when a man came out from behind the trees and pointed a gun at the couple. The suspect took the woman's purse before running through their backyard toward Chapel Hill Road. The suspect is described as a 30-year-old man.

The second robbery happened at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 9.

Officers responded to an armed robbery at a Family Fare gas station in the 3900 of block of Fayetteville Street.

A man wearing a mask entered the gas station, pointed a gun at the store clerk and told him to give him money from the register. When the victim refused, the suspect took a pack of cigarettes and fled the scene in a red Kia Forte with silver wheels. The suspect is described as a heavier set man between 20 to 40 years old.
