Durham man's body washes ashore near Cape Lookout

The body of a Durham man washed ashore near Cape Lookout on Monday morning, officials said.

The National Parks Service said the body of Gregory L. Miller, 65, was found at the north end of South Core Banks. He had been staying at the Great Island Cabin Camp nearby, officials said.

The cause of death hasn't been determined. Park rangers and Carteret County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating the case.
