A Durham doctor has lost his license to practice after pleading guilty to sexual battery and assault.

Dr. Oscar Cornelio-Flores, a family physician in Durham, has been practicing medicine since 2008. Three of his patients have come forward to claim that Flores sexually battered them.

In 2020, he was arrested for sexually assaulting a patient, and in April of 2021, the state suspended his license. That license was suspended indefinitely on Dec. 9.

According to one of his patients, Flores gave her an address for her appointment. But when she arrived, it was a condominium. Flores took her to a room that appeared to be an office, where he proceeded to touch her in a way that was "inappropriate and medically unnecessary," the patient claimed.

Two other patients also said Flores touched them inappropriately during their appointments.
