Raleigh gets ready for J.Cole's Dreamville Fest

The stage is set in Dorothea Dix Park, ready for a weekend of incredible music at Dreamville Festival.

While the main performances start at noon on Saturday, the festivities began with a bang on Friday.

Dreamville Festival, created by North Carolina's own J. Cole, has become a global phenomenon. It attracts both big-name stars and rising talents to Raleigh for a unique music experience.

"Being from North Carolina, it's important to support big things for the state and celebrate our culture," said one attendee.

J. Cole, a Fayetteville native, brings that vision to life with Dreamville.

This year's lineup features some of the biggest artists in the industry alongside exciting newcomers.

"I've been a huge Dreamville fan forever," said Alex Felton. "There's no place like it, and I knew I had to experience it."

While the stage at Dix Park was prepped for the main event, a block party unfolded in Moore Square. Local vendors like Lord Phly set up shop, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

"This creates a buzz for Raleigh," Lord Phly said. "It makes people want to come check things out, even if they haven't heard of them before."

This block party was part of the City Connect series, featuring live music and art with a focus on local talent.

A few blocks away, pop-up shops, a car show, and industry panels added to the excitement leading up to the festival.

"I'm a big fan," Dante Hamilton said. "This event brings people together to network and connect. It's a great vibe for everyone."

Adding to the buzz, J. Cole released his new album on Friday. Fans are eagerly anticipating his performance as the closing act on Sunday night.
