Domestic violence shooting leads to arrest in Goldsboro
The Goldsboro Police Department has arrested a suspect in a domestic shooting that occurred early Monday morning.
At approximately 3:38 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Fairview Circle following a ShotSpotter alert and a dispatch for a shooting report.
Upon arrival, officers located Jallexa Diaz, 26, suffering from a single gunshot wound to her leg. Diaz was transported to UNC Health Wayne for treatment and later left the hospital of her own accord.
After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Diaz's boyfriend, 26-year-old Isaiah Damon McLamb.
McLamb was arrested at UNC Health Wayne while he was visiting the victim.
He has been charged with one count of Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
McLamb was served with his warrant and placed on a Domestic Violence hold with a secured bond of $60,000.
McLamb has been charged with the following:
- 1 Count possession of firearm by convicted felon.
- 1 Count discharge firearm into occupied property resulting in serious bodily injury.
- 1 Count discharge firearm into occupied property.
