A man and a woman are accused of stealing between $600 to $800 in merchandise from a Dollar General in Alamance County.

Deputies on Dec. 1 responded to a report of a larceny at the Dollar General at 2523 N.C. Highway 54 in Graham.

Store managers reported an employee, Deborah Ann Hensley, 53, was involved in the crime.

According to deputies, James Haskel Vandling, 49, helped Hensley take items from the store in two separate incidents three hours apart. Vandling was not an employee.

The larcenies occurred in mid-November, several weeks before employees called 911.

The total losses were valued at between $600 to $800.

Hensley was charged with two counts of felony larceny by employee, and Vandling was charged with one count of felony aid and abet larceny.

The case remains under investigation.
