Debra Morgan honored at Hope Gala for diabetes research

WRAL anchor Debra Morgan was named this year's honoree at the Hope Gala at the Raleigh Convention Center Saturday night.

She has been involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for many years and is often the emcee of the event.

The organization raises money to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes

The annual event raises money for research.
