Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers will host virtual college fairs this week and next month. The sessions will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., March 25 and April 19. A session for transfer students is set for April 22.

The fairs feature colleges from across the country — from N.C. State and Shaw here in Raleigh to Penn State, Missouri University of Science and Technology, Syracuse and many more.

The virtual program is free, but you will need to register for each session you want to attend. And here's some good news for high school students who don't love to turn their video camera on — your microphone and camera will be off so college representatives won't be able to see or hear you, according to the website. But you will be able to ask questions in the chat.

The event's organizers encourage students to attend live, but sessions will be recorded if they can't make it during the scheduled time.

More information is on the website, including details about how to register.
