Avengers moviegoers: Just don't spoil it

Some of the first people in the Triangle who saw the newest "Avengers" movie have one request: Don’t spoil it for others.

One man who saw “Avengers: EndGame” on Friday morning with a friend at Raleigh's IMAX theater was speechless.

“It’s 4 in the morning,” he said after seeing the three-hour movie.

“But I’m glad that we saw it right at the beginning because if you spoil it — just don’t spoil it, please,” he said.

“You have to see it,” the man continued. “That’s all we can say. You have to see it.”

Another moviegoer said comic book fans would enjoy the movie, which is the finale to the four-film Marvel saga.

Last year’s “Avengers: Infinity War” made $258 million in North America and $640 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

“Endgame” is estimated to make between $260 million to $300 million domestically and between $800 million and $1 billion globally, the Associated Press reported.
