2,083 animal adoptions during the 2022 Clear the Shelters campaign

There are 2,083 animals that have found forever homes in central North Carolina thanks to this year's Clear the Shelters campaign.
WRAL News and NBC partnered with local animal shelters for August's drive.
There were 11 shelters in our area took part in the effort, waiving or reducing adoption fees:
- SAFE Haven for Cats: 144
- Finders Keepers Animal Sanctuary: One
- Cumberland County Animal Services: 337
- Orange County Animal Services: 223
- Franklin County Animal Shelter: 70
- Goathouse Refuge, Pittsboro, North Carolina: Four
- The SPCA of Wake County: 411
- Chatham County Sheriff Animal Resource Center: 35
- Animal Protection Society of Durham: 332
- Independent Animal Rescue: 70
- Wake County Animal Center: 456
"Clear The Shelters" has helped more than 700,000 animals find homes since 2015.
