Charlotte man charged with running naked along I-40 near Garner

A Charlotte man was arrested Thursday after he was seen running naked along Interstate 40 in Wake County, according to an arrest warrant.

Michael Douglas Puentes, 35, was charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure.

According to an arrest warrant, he was "fully naked" and in full view of passing motorists at mile marker 307 along I-40, just east of Garner.

A woman called WRAL News on Thursday to report a naked man yelling for help tried to get into her car on I-40 a few miles away. First responders in the area then stopped the man, she said.
