Caught on cam: Coast Guard rescues dog from Pamlico Sound

A lucky dog is back on land after going overboard while boating with her owners in Hatteras.

The U.S. Coast Guard on Facebook shared a video captured Saturday, saying their crew received a call about a dog named Myla going overboard in the Pamlico Sound.

Crews quickly spotted the dog swimming toward their boat. Video shows crews pulling her to safety.

Myla, who was tired but healthy, was eventually reunited to her owners.

"After a quick inspection to ensure no injuries, the exhausted pup was given VIP treatment by the crew and was eventually reunited with its owners," the post read. "We want to congratulate Myla on being a good girl and an amazing doggie swimmer!"
