A popular Raleigh brewery and restaurant will host its first beer festival next month.

Brewery Bhavana owners announced Monday that the venue will host its first Soft Beer Fest on March 31. The event will include beer and cider samples from Brewery Vivant, Civil Society, Fonta Flora, New Belgium, Oxbow, Shacksbury, TRVE and Zillicoah Beer Co.

“In the two years since Bhavana first opened, our team has had the privilege of attending a vast range of beer experiences, from thoughtful, educational discussions to rowdy and expansive, full-on parties. Each time, we have marveled and dreamt of hosting our own: a small and thoughtful festival centered on soft and delicate beers, full of flowers, soft music, and friendly faces,” owners wrote.

The full beer list and band list is expected to be announced in the next two weeks. Only 300 tickets will be sold for the event. Those tickets, which are $70 each, go on sale online at noon on March 6.

Siblings Vanvisa and Vansana Nolintha teamed up with brewer Patrick Woodson to open the dim sum restaurant, brewery, book store and flower shop at 218 S. Blount St. at the end of March 2017. The restaurant is located next to the Nolintha's award-winning Laotian restaurant, Bida Manda.

Since then, it has been named one of the 10 Coolest Places to Eat in 2018 by Forbes and one of Bon Appetit's 10 Best New Restaurants in America list.

The restaurant was also named the best new restaurants in the 2017 WRAL.com Voters' Choice Awards.
