Boys Lacrosse Rankings: Lake Norman rises after big weekend; 1 new team joins top 25

The only new team in the statewide top 25 was Charlotte Christian, which defeated Charlotte Country Day to solidfy its spot at No. 16. The Knights replace Orange.

A commanding 13-2 win by Lake Norman over Middle Creek triggered the two biggest changes in the HighSchoolOT statewide boys lacrosse rankings this week.

That allowed Lake Norman to go from 10th to sixth, and Middle Creek fell nine spots from fifth to 14th.

The only new team in the statewide top 25 was Charlotte Christian, which defeated Charlotte Country Day to solidify its spot at No. 16. The Knights replace Orange.

Rankings reminders:

  • Rankings are updated weekly and released on every Sunday
  • All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
  • Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
  • Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
