Boys Lacrosse Rankings: Athens Drive, R.J. Reynolds move into statewide top 25

Athens Drive knocked off previously undefeated Apex Friendship on Saturday to secure a spot in the HighSchoolOT statewide boys lacrosse rankings entering week six of the season.

The Jaguars, who also have a win over top-25 Ashley, move from unranked to 11th. Their only losses have come to No. 3 Cardinal Gibbons and No. 6 Green Level.

Exiting the rankings were Christ the King and Durham Academy.

Rankings reminders:

  • Rankings are updated weekly and released on every Sunday
  • All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
  • Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
  • Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
