Bicyclist seriously injured after being hit by driver on Rock Quarry Road

A major Raleigh road was closed and a bicyclist seriously injured a crash early Sunday morning in Raleigh.

A driver hit a bicyclist near the intersection of Rock Quarry Road and Hurmax Lane at about 2:30 a.m.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

When asked if the driver had remained on scene, police said they were still investigating.
