3 apps to print those holiday photos on your phone

If your phone is full of pictures from the holidays, it might be time to print your favorites.

It wasn't too long ago that amateur photographers had to drop off or mail canisters of film in a processor and wait for the pictures to come back. Printing pictures is a lot easier now thanks to new technology.

– Snapfish is an easy way to print your pictures. The company gives you 100 4-by-6-inch prints for free each month, though you do have to pay for shipping. You can get them sent to you directly or to a Walmart, CVS or Walgreens store for pickup.

But it's not just pictures: Snapfish will put pictures on items like cards, mugs and pillowcases. The smart phone app is free for iOS and Android.

– Kodak is still in the photo-printing business. The Kodak Moments app lets you send pictures to pick up at many retailers. Kodak also will ship the prints to your home.

Like Snapfish, you can have pictures printed on gift items. The Kodak Moments app is free in the App Store and Google Play Store.

– M-Pix is for people who need high-quality prints. The printing prices are a little higher, but so is the quality.

Users can customize the sizes and paper stocks of their prints. The M-Pix app itself is free for Android and iPhone.
