At least one person dead after 7-car crash on I-87 in Wendell

At least one person is dead after a seven-car crash Wednesday on Interstate 87 near Rolesville Road.

Seven cars were involved in a crash that happened Wednesday afternoon on I-87 South near Exit 14.

The crash happened before 3:45 p.m., and at least one person was killed.

The north and southbound lanes were shut down but have since reopened.
