After 19 years, a popular boutique in Cameron Village is closing due to financial stress brought on by the pandemic.

Cameron Bar and Grill and K&W Cafeteria have also closed due to COVID-19.

The manager of Palm Avenue, which sells Lilly Pulitzer clothing and other items, said the store owners were closing three of four locations at the end of September, including the Daniels Street store in Cameron Village.

The store also operates in Greensboro, Svannah and Charleston. Only the Charleston store will say open.

While businesses like Palm Avenue were able to reopen in Phase 2, business did not go back to normal. Manager Abby Wilkerson said it’s been a roller coaster since the pandemic.

“We are extremely saddened about this, but looking on the bright side, our community has shown us so much appreciation and business the past few weeks since announcing the closing of our store," Wilkerson said.

Palm Avenue said people have until the end of September to shop. According to Wilkerson, some items are discounted between 30% to 75%.
