Arrest made in crash that injured Tarboro police officer

The Tarboro Police Department said one person has been arrested after a crash that injured a police officer Monday.

Two people were sent to the hospital, including the officer.

The crash happened around 5:30, in the middle of one of the city's busiest intersections: Howard Avenue and Western Boulevard.

That's right across the street from Tarboro High School.

Police say the suspect was not impaired.
